Labor List and Search

The Labor List and Search tabs, accessible in the left pane, are used to identify and locate labor resources. The following sections describe the unique characteristics of the Labor List and Search pages.

ClosedLabor List Records

The records displayed in the Labor List typically include the fields listed below sorted by last name of the labor resource. The fields displayed and the order in which they display can be modified by your organization.

  • Icon representing the craft that the labor resource possesses.

  • Chat icon, if the labor resource is currently online and is a member of an access group with permission to chat.

  • Name.

  • Labor ID.

Right-clicking a name opens a menu with an option to open a chat with the individual. If the Labor List indicates that this individual is currently online, selecting this option will open a Chat Tab in the Message Center and will send a Chat Request to the individual.

Active v. inactive labor resources

With the Grid view, you can filter by active and inactive labor resources.

  1. Open the context menu for the Active column.

  2. Click the Filter button.

  3. To filter labor resources shown, select the check box for Active and/or Inactive.

Labor resources that are no longer with your organization are typically made inactive so that they do not appear in Labor lookups. To move these records to the bottom of the Labor List, you may want to consider putting a "z" at the beginning of the Name field. Also, you can use conditional formatting to disable the appearance of inactive records.
