Audit Export

ClosedPrerequisites

To use this feature, you must have:

  • An account that is linked to Central Authorization V3 (CAV3). You can link an MC or SSO account to CAV3.

  • Access group rights enabled for:

    • Tools: Audit Export.

    • Tools: Audit History Manager.

You can use the Audit History Manager to select the modules to include in audit history for compliance purposes. You can query and export audit trail data by filtering records based on criteria you choose. A preview of the data is displayed when there are fewer than 100,000 records listed. We recommend that you enter as much criteria as possible to stay within this limit.

Export audit trail data

  1. Click Tools > System > Audit Export.

  2. In the Audit Export window that opens, select the filter criteria you want:

    • From Date: Start date of the query; searches for record changes greater than or equal to this date.

    • To Date: End date of the query; searches for record changes less than or equal to this date.

    • User ID: Unique ID of the user whose record changes you want to search for.

    • Action Type: Search for records by action types such as Insert, Update, and Delete

    • Record Type: Module. Search for record changes in data tables associated with that module.

    • Record ID: Search for changes in records with the specified Record ID.

    • Parent Type: Search for changes in records with the specified Parent Type.

    • Parent ID: Search for changes in records with the specified Parent ID.

  3. Click Search to list the records for export.

    The results pane shows the records that match the criteria you entered. The columns show:

    • ID: Unique ID of the audit record.
    • Field ID: Unique ID of the field with the record change.
    • Old Value: Value of the record before the action.
    • New Value: Value of the field after the action.
  4. Click Export.

  5. Select the file format you want:

    • Export to CSV: Export the audit to a text file with comma separated values.

    • Export to Excel: Export to a Microsoft Excel file.

  6. Open the downloaded file in your browser download folder.
